The chest is 27" across so is more than generous to wear over a sweatshirt or heavy flannel. The pockets are zip type. The length is 28". The sleeves are lined with windbreaker fabric so the wind doesnt go through it. Now for the outer jacket: Snap and zip closure, closes all the way up the height of the neck, even with a flap to windproof. Hood hidden in the collar. Four zipper pockets on the parka with hook and loop tab on the cuffs to keep wind from going up the sleeve. Even an inner zipper at the zipper area. Fabulous quality. Looks like it was never worn.
