I'm not exactly sure what this flag might be. The flag is for the 382nd Anti-Artillery-Arty Automatic Weapons Battalion, with references to the 6th and 8th Army as well.
It is dated Jan. 16th 1943, which I would presume is when the banner was first started, and then the V-J Day note was added to the center of the rising sun after the war had concluded. It appears the blue is all locations that the 382nd AAA AW Bt. had been?
