Like all crystals from the Mud Flood Mine this Herkimer Diamond was broken millions of years ago in the ground and reformed new crystals on the broken surfaces. This specimen is a great example of telling the story of what the crystals at this locality went through. Its a complete floater with lots of intricate etching on the faces.
