A deceptively gorgeous Untreated Imperial Champagne Zircon from Sri Lanka.
Before seeing this gem in person I was not particularly impressed but upon actually seeing it this beauty has become one of my personal favorite gemstones. The pinfire flashes and alluring brilliance. The gem is subtle and bold all depending on the angle that you view it at. I dont know of any other mineral species that has optical properties like Zircon. Plus it is considered to be the oldest of all gemstone species with some crystals dating back to be as old as 4.3 billion years old.
Metaphysically speaking Golden Zircon creates a protective aura around the wearer that wards off negative energies. It elicits a sense of joy, creativity and passion. It is long known as a wealth and abundance stone. Historically it has been used as a talisman of protection, abundance, wisdom and clarity of thought.
