I have two Hekking Lithograph rare
This listing is for framed wonderful color detail of nautical scenery with boats along the promenade, in very nice condition after a drawing by Dutch artist William Hekking Jr. (1825-1904) published in 1861, printed by P. Bloomers at The Hague c1870.
The scene is “Buitenkart (Nieuwe-Waaals Eiland") Amsterdam The Netherlands meaning “Outside on New Walloon Island). Depicting the Zeemanshoop sailor’s clubhouse with the promenade and boats. The lithograph was made of a drawing by William Heckking Jr that was published in 1861 by G.W Tielkemeijer in Amsterdam in sketches by P.H. Witkamp. With the frame , the artwork measures about 11x9 inches, damage frame right hand corner, the visible area under glass the color image itself measures about 7 x 5 inches. Absolutely beautiful, rare, old and highly collectible!
