This signed 1981 Vandermark Studio art glass paperweight, numbered 4307, features a vibrant orange and white spiral latticinio design radiating from a rarely seen millefiori cane placed at the dome’s apex. The apex cane—a white flower-like element—is highly unusual for Vandermark’s work.
Handcrafted with exceptional precision, this weight is in mint condition with no chips, scratches, or repairs. It does appear to have a piece of white glass near the surface seen in photo. The base is a glassy polish and etched with "Vandermark 1981 4307".
The placement of a millefiori cane at the very top center is not typical for Vandermark and suggests this piece was part of a short experimental series in 1981. A must-have for serious Vandermark collectors and lovers of distinctive studio glass.
