Signed “Siam Silver”, sterling silver niello diamond shaped brooch depicting someone riding on an elephant with a guide. Possibly royalty. It is a solid piece weighing 12.77 grams. Tested and guaranteed sterling silver. About 2” x 1.5” in great vintage condition.
Niello is a black metallic alloy, traditionally made from sulfur, silver, copper, and lead, used to fill engraved designs on metal, usually silver.
