3 United States Navy Round Certificate 1966-1967 USS Warrington DD843. Rare set of 3 The Domain of the Golden Dragon, Order of Magellan, & Imparium Neptuni Regis. All issued to Leslie L Hine between 1966 & 1967 for service aboard the USS Warrington. Each measures 15.5” x 21”. Some slight wear around edges, no rips or tears. Great coloration.
These are a great find for collectors of maritime militaria. Neptune Certificate was for sailors who crossed the Equator, marking their initiation into the "Ancient Order of the Deep."
Domain of the Golden Dragon" certificate was given to naval crew members of ships which crossed the International Date Line. A sailor enters the dragon's empire when they cross the International Date Line by sailing west where Asian nations celebrate the power of the dragon.
Order of Magellan CERTIFICATE Commemorates circumnavigation of the globe.
