Vintage porcelain cup & saucer set from Expo ‘74 World’s Fair in Spokane, WA. The plate measures 4-1/2” and features different sites at the World’s Fair: National flags, US Pavilion, Skyway Safari, and others. The plate is rimmed in gold and embellished with blue flowers. The reverse of the plate has a gold manufacturing sticker affixed to it as well as the original price tag. Very light shelf wear.
The cup is 2” tall and has the same gold trim with blue flowers design. There is a gold sticker affixed on the bottom which reads “A PRODUCT OF EXPOSITIONS INTERNATIONAL, MADE IN JAPAN. The gold rim at the bottom of the cup has a manufacturing flaw - there is a tiny space where the gold rim ends and then begins again. Not a flea bite, as it is smooth to the touch. There are other tiny manufacturing flaws below the World’s Fair logo. Very light shelf wear.
