Rare Mineral Rock Specimen from the Bellekeno deposit within the Keno Hill Silver Mine District in the Yukon Territory in Canada. The main stone is large siderite crystals with white bull quartz and silver bearing galena cubes with trace drusy pyrite. This specimen measures approximately 4 ½" x 3 ¼" x 1 ¾" when looking at max LWH and it weighs 491.8 grams. I acquired this rock specimen from one of my mine Foreman during the 1997 field season as a claims manager and field geologist in the Wheaton River gold camp whom had previously worked for United Keno Hill during the 1980s and found this material in a pocket with vugs containing crystals that was removed to be disposed as gangue. This is a high quality cabinet specimen worthy of any mining related or rare mineral collection. It is in as found condition and the siderite has some cleavage along adjacent crystal faces, but is competent as a cluster. Please review pictures for details and size measurement information, thank you.
