This gorgeous & elegant jewelry box is by the Bombay Company. Made of wood with deep mahogany stain applied, the octagon shaped jewelry box has a regal neoclassical design with Corinthian columns accented with brass. Sits on rectangular shaped base with four ornately carved & turned brass feet with Bombay gold emblem along with other stickers attached to the wooden bottom. Has brass center lock & key adorned with gold tassel that works perfectly & easily to lock & unlock the jewelry box. Multi-beveled lid opens to large mirror & octagon shaped wooden removable tray lined in black velvet with black ribbons on sides for easy lifting, two open side sections & tufted middle section for rings & earrings. Octagon shaped bottom area lined in black velvet. Dimensions 12”L, 7 3/4W, 8”H, 4”D. From 1980’s & in beautiful vintage condition with few faint exterior markings. No chips, cracks, signs of wear. Interior velvet has light dust & wear. No tears, rips, flaws in velvet or mirror. See photos.
