NOTES:
Weird Scenes Inside the Gold Mine is a double compilation album by The Doors, released in 1972, shortly after Jim Morrison’s death in 1971. It was the band’s second compilation, following 13 (1970), and the first issued posthumously. The album’s title comes from a lyric in “The End.” Unlike 13, it avoids duplicating songs from the earlier compilation, focusing on deeper cuts, fan favorites, and two B-sides: “Who Scared You” (1969, flipside to “Wishful Sinful”) and a cover of Willie Dixon’s “(You Need Meat) Don’t Go No Further” (1971, flipside to “Love Her Madly”).
