This is a vintage silver oval trinket box with a Chinese porcelain handpainted shard featuring a floral basket top. Inside the to it has a mirror. It's perfect for storing small keepsakes, jewelry, and maybe pills. As you can see from the pictures, the sides have very ornate designs. I think they are considered to be collectible. It's approximately 2 2/4 inches long at its longest point and approximately
1 3/4 inches wide at its widest point. The inside is approximately 5/8 deep. As you can see from the pictures, the lid has more patina than the bottom. I didn't want to clean it because some people prefer to leave it as is.
