Vintage 1934 Handmade Sunbonnet Sue Quilt Green Yellow Pink 42x43in Signed SCY
Condition: Good vintage condition. Quilt shows gentle age-related wear, minor fabric discolorations in areas, and typical wrinkling from years of use and storage. No large rips or holes. Please see photos for full detail.
Charming and nostalgic, this handmade quilt features nine classic Sunbonnet Sue applique panels. Each Sue is crafted from vintage cotton prints and bordered by cheerful pastel green sashing. Black blanket stitching around each applique, with hand-quilting throughout in a diagonal motif.
The quilt is signed "SCY 1934" in embroidery on one corner, attesting to its age and handmade origin. The backing is white cotton with a tiny print, and the quilt is finished with green rickrack trim at the edges.
