Tom Scholz is the audio genius behind the signature sound of BOSTON. The short back story is Tom and Brad Delp, lead singer (R.I.P.) recorded the first album in Tom's basement studio. When the label asked them to record in LA, Tom declined saying the LA studio lacked the effects needed to achieve the demo record quality. The rest is well known history.
SOLOIST is meant to be worn by the guitarist who can use headphones, or use an additional amplifier. Input from a secondary source is provided for as well as three volume levels, switchable stereo chorus and various modes labeled, "DIST", "EDGE", and "CLEAN."
