Kinda rare & near complete Stella road bike produced in the early 70’s for the Canadian snowmobile company “arctic cat” by Stella cycles (French based touring bike manufacturer). The arctic cat was a one of a kind, offshoot touring bike given away by the snowmobile company as part of a promotion. Basically, if you purchased a new snowmobile between 71-73, you received one of these brand new touring bikes sized to your specifications.
Very well made cycle for sure. Features a complete simplex group set, diacompe center pull brake calipers & levers, competition series gooseneck stem, cotard pin 3pc crankset, crown chromoly forks (1” threaded), large flange French racing 700c Wheelset w/ 5spd freewheel, & a fully lugged frame made with reynolds 531 steel tubing.
Pretty high quality ride for sure. Shifts fine, brakes all work.
She’s missing the original seat (will provide a replacement), & Original tires (also will provide). Brake & derailleur cables are dry rot & will include replaces
