John T. McNeill (1885-1975) was an eminent historian of Christianity who taught at the University of Chicago and Union Theological Seminary. He was recognized as one of the foremost scholars of John Calvin and the Protestant Reformation in the world. This study, which traces the global history of the Reformed Protestant tradition from its Reformation origins into the modern world, was originally published in 1955 and remains an essential work for all serious students of the Reformation and Protestant history. This 1967 paperback copy is in overall good condition with a clean, near new cover, tight binding, and clean, unmarked pages. The paper is starting to tan, but is presentable. A very good reading copy of a classic study. Smoke-free home. See all photos carefully to judge the condition.
