This is a vintage Taxco pendant/pin set in 925 silver. It is stamped Mexico AR 925. The abalone shell is inlaid in the silver in a pinwheel design.
The pin mechanism works and the piece can be worn as a pendant or a pin.
The piece has a natural patina that has been acquired over time, but the patina can be polished if you prefer. Many choose to keep it intact as this is a sign of a vintage silver piece.
