Overview: Up for sale is this fantastic woodblock print, "Three Eyes" by modernist Japanese printer, Kaoru Kawano . Kawano is well-known as one of the earliest Japanese print artists to move from traditionalist styles and themes to more modern art-style subjects. This print dates from the 1950s and is one of his best and most well-known woodblock prints. It depicts two owls, one of which has one eye closed. Signed by Kawano at lower right. Print is taped to a linen matting.

Condition: Print is in excellent condition. It is taped on back to the matting. Should be able to remove it if desired without issue.

Measurements: Print measures approximately 17 inches widex 11.5 inches high. Matting measures 20 inches wide x 15.5 inches high.
