Overview: Up for sale is this very beautiful woodblock print, "Full Moon On The Seta Karahashi Bridge" which depicts the famous Seta Kerahashi Bridge in Otsu, just outside of Kyoto. It's a hauntingly beautiful print. This print was produced by Eiichi Kotozuka. Kotozuka was born in Kyoto and was one of the major forces in the shin hanga movement. He, along with Tokuriki, Tobei and Tasaburo formed the Koryokusha publishing company in an effort to break free of the major publishing companies. This print was part of a six-print series called, "Scenes of Shiga, Nara and Kyoto," which dates to the 1950s. It comes in its original folio backing and framed in a midcentury bamboo wood frame.
Condition. Print is in excellent condition. Frame is in very good condition with minor scuffing.
Measurements: Print measures approximately 11 inches wide x 8.25 inches high. Frame measures approximately 14.75 inches wide x 11.75 inches high.
