bottle is unembossed...metal (non-ferrous) cap is stamped: PAT. DEC.7.09. (1909)
the cap is believed to be a DeVilbiss closure (for liquid storage containers)
bottle is in about MINT condition- nice glass character...no chips, cracks or bruises...maybe just a hint of interior haze
cap is in good condition- most notably, the liberty bell type closed crack on the front...as well as some tarnish (would probably clean up if one were so inclined)
neat little turn-of-the-century inkwell and one i haven't seen before...scarce with the original closure
